FAQs

International Ballroom Dance Studios

  • What types of dances do you teach?

Our curriculum encompasses a wide range of dance styles. We offer instruction in American Rhythm dances such as cha cha, rumba, East Coast swing, bolero, and mambo. We also teach American Smooth dances including waltz, tango, foxtrot, and Viennese waltz. Additionally, we provide lessons in International Standard and Latin dances. For those interested in club dances, we offer salsa, bachata, merengue, West Coast swing, and Carolina Shag.
  • How do we get started?

We recommend beginning with our Introductory Program. This initial course will provide you with a fun and easy entry into the wonderful world of ballroom and social dancing!
  • What kind of shoes should I wear?

For introductory lessons, we advise wearing comfortable footwear. However, we discourage the use of stilettos, flip flops, or steel-toed shoes for safety and comfort reasons.
  • Do I need a partner to take lessons?

A partner is not required for our lessons. We gladly accommodate individual students in our classes.
  • How often should I take lessons?

Regularity is beneficial for learning dance. Many of our students attend one to two lessons per week to enhance muscle memory and build confidence. We find that more frequent lessons often lead to faster progress in dance skills.
